Hello, My name is Douglas Nelson, aka 'Augie'. This is the name that my 6 grandchildren call me as I am slightly non-conforming and did not wish to be 'grandpa' or anything like that....I'm still too young ;-).
I have been online for quite some time now. It began with a free site at FortuneCity where I put up some of my creative writing and got practiced with using HTML. My buddy and I (he was using Homestead) shared the dial up connection. We would login and copy our page then logout and work on it with Notepad while the other was logging in and making notes about what needed to be edited.
It was all for fun and entertainment at that time.
Then I became intrigued with the marketing that was beginning to appear and the huge sums of cash these guys were making. I started signing up for affiliate programs and advertising them on the free traffic exchanges. This did not prove to be a money-maker...in fact I got only one commission check in quite a few years of doing this.
But, I did begin to accumulate a lot of useful information from email lists, free reports and free download software. Augie's Place is where I will share this info with others who are interested in following the Internet Marketing form of business.
Not everything will be free, although there is lots that I will share for the same price I paid [$0]. Since I have been around for some time there are marketers that I know are reputable, honest and trustworthy that I will provide links to hopefully saving someone some money by not following other marketers that are not so trustworthy.
I sincerely hope you will find the resources and articles on this site useful and profitable and that if you wish more info on a subject that is not yet included you will email me and I'll see what I can find.
